how many batteries are needed to run a system with 5,600w rms and can this be done without adding another alt? how do I do this without going above 13.5v i want to keep this at 12v

cars run around 14.6 on a factory alternator mine actually ran at 14.8 so why are you wanting to stay at 13.5 just curious

13.5v was just pulled out the air. I want to stay around 12v the idea is enough power to run the system and all the extras ( neon, monitors, ect. ) and keep the engine operating like it should. I plan to have switches for most of the components so I can have some control and turn off what I'm not using. What I want to know is with a stock alternator can i run two batteries with the system having this much power and run everything else too. I really don't want to change the alternator but if I must, oh well.

if u running alot of after market stuff in the car/truck and then threw a system like that on top of it i really would replace the alt for a high output u going to stress the factory alt out bad not counting the batts and the amps too.So why take a chance on smoking something and just get a good high output alt

who makes a good high output alternator free someone trying to do all of this on a budget and will I still need another battery?

Yes you would still need a a couple batterys and I would go with powermaster or mechman
