i run a memphis mcd4kw (not the brand new, but the 2nd to newest case, the glossy black) on a pair of audioque 18s at 1.2 ohms.

it's my daily driver, i do the occasional competition, but i'm not willing to sacrifice daily driver function to pick up dbs. currently i have an iraggi 240a alt with dual 1/0 runs for the big 3 up front, an optima 34 series yellow top up front and a powermaster d3100 in the rear. there was only 1 run of 1/0 connecting the front and rear batteries, i am as we speak putting in a 2nd run for both power and ground, and will do a 3rd if i have enough wire left.

i was dropping to low 12s, even high 11s sometimes with that setup. i'd say the optima is about 2 years old and the powermaster is about a year. they've both been beat to hell the whole time i've had them, but i havent had either on a load tester. what i'm thinking of doing is adding another d3100 in the rear, possibly replacing my up front battery with the 34 series powermaster. how does this sound, and are there better options?

how would the d3100s compare to say, hawker 2150s in a daily driver install?

the D3100's are rock solid i would run 2 of them as close to that amp as can be i know that amp well i have 5 of them. they are very power hungry but will also put the power out i would get that optima out of there and replace with another d3100 if u can fit it up front if not then a d3400

might possibly look into some DataSafe batteries. The 500 series are beats and about $50 bucks less than a D3100. Also more power

i never expected to get 3 runs out of 50 ft. rolls that i'd already been cutting off of, but i had plenty so i now have 6 runs of 1/0 front to rear.

only 1 pos is hooked up ATM, and all 3 neg. i placed my knukonceptz order expecting only 2 runs, so i need another 10 ft or so or 1/0 to go from the fuseholders to the rear battery, and 2 more fuseholders. just placed another order, another 120 bucks! i now have close to 300 dollars in fuseholders in my ride :/

i'm excited to see if the 3 runs will make any difference though [Big Grin]
