I'm taking my car in later this week to get the alternator upgraded to an Ohio Generator unit. I am going to ask the installer to re-ground the battery and alternator w/4 gauge wires. I will also have the battery and alt connected w/a 1/0 gauge wire. I am supplying the installer w/Stinger dual 4gauge & 1/0 gauge battery clamps as well as 2-4gauge ground terminals.

The system will connect like this:
Positive terminal: 1 4gauge to trunk for amps(not adding yet)
1 4gauge to connect my original positive battery cable
1 1/0 gauge to connect to my alternator
Negative terminal: 1 4 gauge to ground
1 1/0 gauge to connect to battery

If there is anything that I am missing or doing incorrectly, please let me know. I am asking for a competition install, wire looms, etc. what else should I add or request for this part of my installation? thanks--

NOT SURE ON THIS....

But I've heard that there is a metal grounding strap that connects your engine to the body of the car... This could probably be upgraded as well...

but once again..i think i read this somewhere..not sure on that....

Good luck.

I don't care how much a person may consider themselves a failure, I believe in them, for they can change the thing that is wrong in their life anytime they are ready and prepared to do it. Whenever they develop the desire, they can take away from their life the thing that is defeating it. The capacity for reformation and change lies within." -Preston Bradley

If I follow everything correctly, it sounds good.
