i would contact powermaster. and if you're using it for daily, I would think about getting two alternators. There's probably a dual-alt bracket made for those.
But I'd get one that you can hook up without the ECU controlling it. The factory one is controlled by the computer, to reduce output to save fuel consumption.

D-Bass: Actually for the most output, he would want to look into the XS Power alternator [Wink]

i was very happy with my alt from excessive amperage. And very unhappy with my alt from Dom Iraggi.

my 2 cents.

If you want a great performer id go with powermaster first and foremost and ohio generator 2nd. However they generally have a slightly higher price tag than some of the smaller companies

Excessive Amperage has been hit or miss with the several I ordered a few years ago, for several different vehicles.
Ohio Gen. and XS/Powermaster, I've need had problems with. Some going back 10years. but the Ohio Gen. was very pricey

i would recommand Xs Power for an alt and like D-Bass said i would run 2 alts on that truck one for the truck to run off of and the other for the 16 volts in the back. The Xs power alts are fully adjustable so u can get what u need to charge the 16 volt bank the right way and they stand by there warrenty 110%.they do make a dual alt bracket for that truck by the way cost a little change but its nice

dc power makes a multi alt kit that is complete. You can also get them custom powder coated to a color you like. They put out over 150 amps at idle, and if your running 18v, you will need a mla, but they make even more power.
