If I parallel some 8V batts with some 12v batts will this work and what would the voltage be with the vehicle off and vehicle on???

you'd have to series the 8 volt batteries with the 12 volt batteries

and you'd get 20 volts and burn up everything in your car lol

You could wire 6 volt batteries in series with 12 volts which is what some euro competitors do

Just make sure you run them off of a totally different system then your car, don't have anything hooked up to the car that touches those batteries

So in parallell it wont help anything??

if you parallel you'd end up with like 11 volts or something

we put 4v with 12v , not 6v with 12v

i have 4v and 12v , when all is good charged sometimes i have to burp on low volume to get under the 18v to be able to start playing in the lanes

Dont put in parallel, the 8V bat will die.

Thank you all. Justin I had some 8v batts lying around I was thinking of using but never mind. I will just stick to the 12v batts.

you could series two 8V batts together and make a 16V pair. then parallel the pairs together.

you could put 2 8v in series

then u hve 16v also
