copper is expensive but when you shone it up and throw some clear on it.. mmm.. just think if you switch copper to aluminium you'll need like twice as much to do the same amount of work.. I think thats how it works. dont quote me on that

Geoff, didn't you say you didn't see any gain by switching copper vs. aluminum?
and like someone else stated, I would go with thicker aluminum than copper if going that route

if you can find it cheaply platnum , we got in some at work holly gaurding like it was gold lol , we have all kind of brass,copper,and aluminum grades which work very well ...........

i was running brass buss bars 1/2"X1"X5" on my front battery i switched to 1/8"X1"X6" aluminum buss bars and i gained some voltage to the amp. was able to turn the deck up from -1 to +1 with less dimming. i just got a plate of copper thats 1/8"X5"X16" planning on doin a direct swap from the aluminum ones and see how i do

You can write cool things on your bus bars too..
If you're not going to use fuses you can even bolt the terminals directly to the bar.
