If you had the choice to choose the Batcap 8400 (a battery that can handle a little down time and punishment before recharging) or the Batcap Extreme (a battery that can only be burped for a whole 5 seconds and is very sensitive) which one would you choose and why??

Also think of cost $$ as a non-issue.

8400 hands down or get two 8400's for the price of one extreme and the two will be stronger. Only down fall of a cell battery is it can't be not charged for a long time unlike a deep cycle. But the 8400 is very strong.

It is an AGM style battery. Would work great for daily driving, etc.

I almost forgot to mention, that this would be for a 16 volt battery. Is this battery you spoke of 16 volts? I am looking at buying the battery that gets the loudest off of a burp. My days of playing music will be over for a little while. I am building off of what I have, to make a true no-wall in my 95 Jimmy.

I was also told that the Batcap 8400's are a little more stable then the Extreme. Is there any other battery out there that is 16 volts that would be stronger than an 8400??

Actually no. Weight is not too much of a factor. I had 8 of those 16 volt Kinetic batteries but I just wanted to go with something I could use at spring break that might even give me an edge and be less heavy for long trips.

Actually they are two totally different batteries! The 8400 does about 8400 amps in a burp and the Extreme does about (36,000?) amps in a burp for less then 5 seconds, the rep told me.

Thanks for the info. I was going to either go with two of the batcap 8400's or just say screw it and run a bank of 12 to 16 kinetik 16 volters and call it a day! I get team pricing on the kinetics, and i would be able to buy about 8 of the the kinetics for the price of 1 8400 and still have money left over!
