i don't have a CRX, but I fit one in my mazda mx-3. In almost any vehicle you have to modify some stuff to make a G31 battery fit. LOTS of people have fit equal size batteries in CRX's. There used to be an entire thread about fitting 800ci batteries in rex's

Yep, and on the stock battery tray! The tray has to be slightly modified so it can be lowered to accomodate a larger battery. I have had an Optima G-31, Northstar G-3100, Odyssey PCA-2150, Xstatic Batcap 8400 and now a Northstar G2700, in my car using the factory battery tray. I hope this helps.
