What is a good dimension for a buss bar? One where wholes are tapped, and there are bolts to secure down the wire.

Like this one.

I have aluminum bar to work with, and a mill to bring it down to size. Just looking to you opinion's on how far I should bring it down to, with keeping enough meat on it to thread the holes the holding bolts will go through.

keep it as big as possible....and as big as you can fit under the hood or in the back. No sense getting rid of metal. Would you pull half the strands out of your 1/0????? No, of course not. keep the bussbar as thick as you can SAFELY fit

i made these ones 6 1/2" X 4" X 1 1/4" thick. If you look at the bottom youll see part of the bars had to be milled down to accomodate for the small raised ridge that the nsb90 has.

I also used 2 set screws per run of wire so that I was able to get the wire in twice as deep and have twice the surface area contact with the bar itself
