I have an interstate battery in the front that is 700CCA / 875CA in the 4Runner. In my crx, the interstate battery is a bit bigger which is 875CCA / 1095CA. I want to put the bigger battery(from the CRX) in the back of my 4Runner. Is it okay to hook up the other battery in the back? I'll just wiring parallel of course it will be fused.

both are the same brand but different specs...

yes it will work, pos wire to pos, and negative to neg. or grounded to chassis your choice. It is advised to not mix types such as a flooded battery, and a dry cell

*warning i think those batts, leak acid vapor and should be in a properly vented area such as in the engine bay

you're right. i might have to get rid of stock air box and make a battery bracket for the second battery.

edit: nevermind, i measured it and it wont fit. so look like i'll have to get two or 3 dry cell batteries.

Flooded batteries release hydrogen gas, which is explosive.
and so was the reflective coating on the hindenburg.
BOTH are reasons why it EXPLODED!

My brothers audi 5000 stock battery is located in the passenger compartment under the rear seats. That is the factory location, what gives? Also if I put a flooded batt in my trunk, couldnt I just vent it out somehow?
