Does anyone know of a company that makes a GOOD quality battery terminal adapter like this one?

 -

Basically I've just gotten a battery that the regular automotive terminals and my buss bars aren't set up for that config.

Rather than change all the wiring I figure if I can just find a good quality adapter then I could save myself a lot of work [Big Grin]

(the ones pictured are lead so I assume they're probably crap)

Stinger (SBTR28P) possibly

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.futureshop.ca/multimedia/products/thumbnail/80714060.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/subclass.asp%3Fcatid%3D10909%2 6logon%3D%26langid%3DEN&h=55&w=55&sz=2&hl=en&start=49&tbnid=sgJ0pzuWfGeAVM:&tbnh=55&tbnw=55&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dstinger%2Bbattery%2Bterminal%26start%3D40%26gbv%3D2%26ndsp%3D20%26hl% 3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DN

Just instead of using the bolt in it to hold down power cables, you could use it to mount your busbar(s) to it (or if it doesnt have enough slack to fit your busbars between itself and the head of the screw you could always go find a bolt that will do the same thing)

probably wouldnt cost too much to have a pair machined out of copper or aluminum.

when i used that style i just went with the cheapo lead ones

Wouldn't even know where to go to get one machined [Frown]

Did you ever run in to issues with the lead ones?

jordy you should be able to pick those up in a brass terminal at any local auto parts store and their cost isn't much more than the lead terminals...

wouldn't lead actually be BETTER?

aren't the cells in batts made out of lead?

I had some like this on my old SVR 80 and scottie say them. Said lead was actually better.

I bought mine from autozone/advanced auto parts.

Jordy how many do you need? I have a few here I wouldn't mind just giving to you

Just need 2... one for pos, one for neg [Wink]

I appreciate the offer but I think they're only $5-$10.. so shipping would probably cost even more than the things are worth! [Big Grin]

(I may take you up on the offer if I can't find them locally.. but I really don't see it being a problem)

nope..never had an issue. When I help out newer people with their setups I always recommend they get that style terminal for simplicity.

some walmartts have terminals that are that style but gold. I think they're called marine battery terminals
