decided to try it and see what happens. then I forgot about it overnight, but it stays on the constant 4hr then switches anyway. so now I'm gonna take it in tomorrow and test amperage output under full load cranking amps I think is what the tester checks

well... since I did it the night I posted, you're a little late LOL.. I dunno, it's sitting at 13.10v after just sitting for a day... because I over drew and under charged them for a couple years I think it needed it to get the lower cells recycled... I dunno, my lights have been dimming with a single 2400hc and only a 100a fuse for all my audio... so they were in rough shape already at this point and it was a last faint effort to see if I could save it. I didn't realize it wasn't for AGM, til I talked to the battery guy the same day as your response... he said, well, since it didn't blow up, it's probably ok, though I may have slightly shortened it's life span...
basically from what they're running like in the vehicles, they seem like they're on their last leg anyway... may sell the one that I didn't hit with 1.5A 16v and get some interstates or something cheap and just take better care of them... I'd prefer odyssey 2150's but I don't think there's an odyssey dealer around
