support your local shops. Find a good one, not just the cheapest hole in the wall where the owner/saleman is slangin' drugs and will be closing shop in a year or two. For example, the company i work for has been in mobile electronics for 29years.
If you go to the shop regularly, you establish a repour and will get small discounts.

you have to actually buy stuff regularly.... not just go in and ask questions that they make they're money by knowing and applying.

don't expect a deal the first time you walk in the door. and 0ga wire does normally retail between $6 and $9 per foot. although I have seen a couple shops that were at $4/ft...but that was about 4years ago, before copper prices tripled.

that would be ur best bet to check out a small retail shop and if you go in once a week and drop $100 you will get deals...

Or, buy it off of Ebay. It's the same wire that the shops carry and its a lot cheaper. I see 0 guage on ebay right now by streetwires for $2.59 a foot. That's where I buy all of my wire and other small stuff. The big stuff like amps, subs, decks, or components I buy locally so I can have it warrantied. Most internet retailers are not authorized dealers. Besides if your area is anywhere like mine the shops around you suck and you wouldn't be caught dead in them. I'm a mecp certified tech and have been installing professionally for 2 years (not at present, currently working as a carpenter) and competing db drag for 9 years and the shops around me won't pay more than 9 bucks an hour. Best Buy is the highest paying "shop" in my area, and this is pretty much going off topic so buy your wire on Ebay.

I think only because you're sponsored by maxxsonics you can even buy direct from hooker... so that's like saying buy your kicker soloX from kicker direct :lol: only team kicker guys get direct... maybe I'm wrong. but only time I could get hooker direct was on team membership iirc... same for alot of the other co-sponsors under team maxxsonics
second ebay.. I've been in the local shop since when they were 1st setting up the place and he told me $13/foot for 0awg the other day. I can get stinger pro wire for less than that online shipped to HI airmail. so I'm sorry for him I dropped $90 ANYway.. and then thought about it, I've dropped lots of money in there, and he's the owner and remembers me and even knows my name... ONLY guys they do deals for and they aren't good deals are guys who drops grands at a time and I mean grands.. one guy dropped $27,000 as a DOWN payment. he owns one of the two jackhammers IN BOXES they have at their shop... and alot of other stuff.. they can be cool guys, but not for giving me good deals. I'm sure they see alot of people wanting to get deals, but I go in, buy stuff, don't ever ask for deals or compare their prices.. noticed a guy ask if they price match crutchfield while I was there, to which he said yeah... and just ask for small things I need for my install and just get all around a bad deal... I pick out a pile of sh!t to buy and the dude sits there playing poker with his buddy not even ringing me up... at which point I just about walk out leaving all the stuff on the counter... another local shop, the owner who's like 40+, I'm 27 mind you. came up all smiles, then beats around the bush and finally comes up with, : yeah, btw, so and so said you said you don't know about me, and my shop. then follows up with: and basically said you were talking ****, he mumbled. I just about pushed his teeth down his throat with my fist, but was in dis belief a 40 year old was acting like a highschooler crazy, I don't know if he thinks I won't slap his glasses off or shatter them in his face but he seriously needs to watch who he talks to like that.... it wouldn't of been pretty if he said that a few years ago to me. I got very ampd with him and told him don't even come at me like that, regaurdless of what he thinks was said or what was said. ran around amp'd for like an hour til I decided I can't go to jail for putting an old man in the ER LOL... sometimes I like the idea of supporting the local guys. my batts and battery charger/misc stuff I get from a local dealer, and you know what, I got LESS than ebay price on a charger and that was the opening price he OFFERED. so you can't tell me dealers need to make 200% markup on everything BS flag is waving strong... either you can move mass amounts with low profit or low amounts with high profit.. sales bring people in the door also... I've spent grands shipping stuff here. if I can get a sub, + $100 airmail to HI and still save $300+ on each one something's wrong with the picture... if they want to price match, no problem. but imo, I shouldn't have to ask to be hooked up as far as I'm concerned.. the battery guy found a new customer regaurdless of if his optima's are $20 more each over the store 2minutes down the road who'll warranty them better, you know why? not just price, but he's a straight up guy. and I'll give him business that I think he's worth
They have some of the best wire and rca's on the market - and some of the best prices too.
Dont get me wrong people, I support my local shops. I support them quite well actually. But when online will even beat MY special prices from my local retailer - including shipping - hell yea Im buying online. And it aint cheap to ship 60' of 0ga wire.
