where is the best place to get the 1/4 thick copper for making a busbar?

i just use bronze it works just as well as copper... and it is cheaper for me

i looked at 1/4" X 2" X 36" = $66.86..... not too bad

Is that for silicon-bronze?
and what kind of cross-voltage would you using 5/16" silicon-bronze bolts threaded through a 1/4"copper bar?

Well around here theres a recycle place that sells that stuff also steel for welding projects, and they sell it by the current market price

I checked out mcmaster and they seem really expensive on their stuff.I sell my copper alot cheaper than that.$92.88 for a six foot peice of 1/4X 1.5 yikes.

I think I only paid 65 or so for a 1/4"x2"x48" piece. might have even been 3/8" thick

Its $137 dollars at mcmasters.My price on a peice like that is $44,big difference.
