So I don't drive my crx in the winter and don't plan on it. When installing my battery, PC2150 I arched it, positive wire hit the negative, but never had a problem with it at any shows or anything. I went to start it today and it was dead, checked the voltage and it was at 4.4 volts. Now I know the battery is probably junk, but does anyone thing I have a dead short somewhere, and because I use to drive the car everyday never noticed it, or do you think the battery just became junk from shorting it out, and it just finally died. I heard of these battery's lasting years and years, I don't think I just got a junk one, any idea's, suggestions, and I will need a new battery lol thanks.

Ya I tried charging it and it just started going back down, only sat at like 12 volts after charging for alittle while. Any idea why it did this, or thing the car has a slow discharge anywhere?

After you take it off charge and it starts dropping it is bad. Basicly a battery should sit about 12.6v if it is good.

i charged the **** out of it and its sitting around 12.5-12.6 or so. thats with the power from the car unhooked I think my car has a draw somewhere thats why it was sitting so low. I hope the battery is still good, i will find out when I try to do some burps on it.

simple way is to leave the battery alone for a few days. If it is still up there then you should be ok with it.
Then start looking into a draw in the car.

Also keep in mind, you live in MI so it gets really cold out. When a battery is hooked up to a car it will slowly drain. It usually takes several weeks though. So if you havent started it in awhile then that 4.4v would be normal.

Find someone with a pwermaster charger and put it on there for a couple days. I've revived a couple batteries from early graves using that thing.
