Are the everstart marine maxx batteries decent for a budget batt???....might need a cheap alternative for a couple early comps/testing while i save for my kinetiks. Comments? Opinions?

never seen them... how many, and what size, Kinetiks are you getting?

I use them on my test bench. They seem to take much longer to charge than a Kinetik or similar and they drop under 12v much faster when I test a large amp. I sold off my Kinetiks to free up some cash and bought these (cheap) for the bench so it's a pretty direct comparison [Smile]

They will work, but you will see a large improvement going to a Kinetik or similar type battery. Have you considered the Powermaster D3100 as well?

Kinetik 2400's - one on each of 4 sundown saz1500's

have not looked at powermasters batteries, yet but i will be looking in to getting my alt rebuilt by them for sure
