I don't know what kind of alt and batts you have now but my original alt was 120A and was good enough for charging 4 nsb90 and 1 yellowtop

I don't think you are driving all day long with the music on full volume so 1 alt will be enough to charge a small batt bank

got a 180 amp alt....red top under the hood 1/0 power and ground back 2 a yellow top the 1/0 to 2 ed nine.1's strapped...but looking at the grunch gp-3000 pro for next year. if i go with the pro....16v, but if i stay with ed's amps 12v. i should be no more that bout 4k rms power. i think a 300 amp alt with a xternl voltage reg will be a must( cuz i like big ) but will more batts/ different batts really help?

I meassured a T3000.1 wich is about 3500+ watt rms
this amp only takes 100A when playing music at 1 ohm

don't think you need a 300A alt for 4k rms
better put 2 good batts in the back

i doubt the amps would like 16 v either ans hes right that big of an alt would fry a 12v bat in no time unless you stepped down the charging line from the alt to 14 v
