I went with Kinetik because I found a good deal on some used ones, I hope I made the right decision. I will say they arent as quick to respond to emails as powermaster and the one time I called Kinetik I was put on hold until I hung up. Granted that can happen with ANY company but the few times I have called on Scottie I have recieved a response the next business day if not sooner.

Rick at HO IIRC... Rick is a great guy... I would do the same if I had the tools and parts handy... especially for a guy like Mike.
If a guy like you came along however... a guy who convinced us to "sponsor" him and never applied a single decal, nor ever made an attempt to, I would have had to put some thought into saving my parts for someone more loyal.
Helping each other toward a common goal... might be a new concept for ya. Instead of thinking about yourself and how to make others look bad all the time

You really need to look into things before you open your mouth. I HAD your alternators on the van. I HAD your logos on the van. Hell, I even had them on my enclosed trailer. When the internal regulators went(after about six months BTW), I tried to get them fixed and got nothing. When Tom from Ohio Generator spent all day Sat in Daytona in 2006 pulling YOUR alternators and fixing them after you said you couldn't do anything, YOUR logos came off the van.
Don't speak to me about loyalty.....maybe if a competitor who repped your company for close to three years, all for the price of two alternators, had gotten a little loyalty and customer service things might be different.
As it stands now, Kinetik and Ohio Generator are the two companies I choose to support for my power supply needs. They have given me nothing for free, except for awesome service, quick shipping on anything I bought, and sometimes someone just to talk to without making you feel like you are bothering them and they have better things to do with their time....and I know that I have ever heard Tom or Pat whine about someone with competitor logos on their vehicle being parked too close to their booth.

I told myself I was just gonna let this go, but after reading through this again I cant help but point out that you are doing the same thing again... doing your best to skew the truth to make others look bad.
Dayton 06 was the first I ever heard of you having problems with your alts... I told you then that I could take care of it, even though I had nothing to do with your sponsorship. I attended SBN in 06 as a spectator... didnt have any tools, parts, etc... and found out later that you had talked Tom into working on it at the show. So, thanks for the opportunity to pull your alts off for you in the Daytona heat with no tools or parts especially after you had previously shown so much appreciation. (sarcasm) In fact, I heard more feedback about you slamming us over the last 3 years than I ever heard good.
To be fair, I want to say that you met the terms of your sponsorship, and were free to do whatever you wanted with your equipment. We truly appreciate any business you may have brought our way. Things are certainly different now than they were then...
I guess it's too much to expect the appreciation to carry on past the terms of the sponsorship. Out with the old, in with the new... and we wonder why companies dont do sponsorships anymore...

You are not the company Scottie. I don't hold you personally responsible at all. It might have been the first time you had heard of it, but I can assure you it was not the first time I inquired about getting them fixed. I don't consider sharing my experience with the support side of Powermaster to be slamming them, simply relating my troubles. I know that if someone had told me that as one of their sponsored competitors they couldn't even get the product fixed, I would have passed on the free stuff just for the better support of another company.

It's hard to appreciate a company that couldn't help me get THEIR products fixed.
BTW, when Kicker cut their team and everyone started paying for stuff, where did I go then? Oh, that's right, still there. Must have something to do with good support....

Granted, it was a long time ago (well before I started) so maybe you did talk to somebody... even though nobody else remembers or has records of anything other than your pulley's coming off because you were spinning them backwards. Not to mention that the only thing that could possibly keep someone from getting their product warrantied or repaired is if they wouldnt take the time to send it in. All that is required is an RGA number and we will not only fix ours, but our competitors products too... this has been the policy even long before I started in 2006.
There have been plenty of customers in this thread state their opinions about our customer service and support, so there's really no need for me to argue that. So, why dont we just agree that we had some miscommunications in the past, and now you have moved on. We appreciate your efforts, regardless of the feedback we've received. Best of luck in 2008!

Actually, that was Greg's pulleys. I loctited mine before installation because of what had happened to his, as we had the exact same mounting plates and setup.
Agreed. //
