ive seen them, my buddy use to have 2X 8V train batteries, they were HUGE!!!! something like 3000 amp, they managed to disappear one day, no clue where they are...

it wouldnt surprise me. a couple people broke in and stole a pair of MA 4400's, they were caught on a MAJOR road with them on their shoulder at like 5am!

they would probably work ok for a few hundred amps at a time, but if you pulled what they are capable of they would probably melt the terminals...they are designed for 2-300 amps for hours, not 5000 amps for seconds.

I had 4 of those batteries (train batteries) 2 years ago. They weighed 350lbs. ea. They sat at 17.4 but would drop drastically to around 15.4 on a burp. I'm thinking about bringing them back for bass race because of the reserve compacity.
