Chris-
Ours was the same that Edge originally had and many others - it was a factory modded 12V setup. They recently released (within the past year) the single 16V battery. I beleive Edge changed theirs out. We did not - ours were working great; why change a good thing. Van Riper has used both and he would be your best bet for a honest comparison between the two.

I'm glad you liked my work. I am equally impressed though with your rebuild right before Finals. VERY NICE! [Wink]

J&K, thanks....
Yes your work was neat.
Can Van Riper add his 2 cents on this issue.
I am read to step up and use 16V. [Smile]
But I would like to know what would be my best buy.

The true 16v battery I feel is a bit stronger than the modfied 12v, but the main reason I switched to the true 16v is for ease of wiring and bussing the batts together in my vehicle. I was able to use almost all buss bars with the 16v as opposed to many wire jumpers with the modifed 12v battery.
