Topic: Budget $1000....need alt and 2 batts
OK, I am running a DD M3 and I have a T3 TSS 15 on the way. Build is happening in a '07 GMC Sierra Classic Crew Cab. I have an Optima sitting imy garage right now and I can put that under the hood and buy another just like it to put in the rear. I also need an alternator and Iraggi seems to be able to cover that for me. What I really need are suggestions on alternator size and which batteries to go with. My total system consisits of a DD M3 and a DD S4, so a possible total current draw of 320 amps or so max. I am going to be running a 1/0 wire for the M3 and a 4 gauge for the S4, so the wire is already taken care of. -------------------- Alpine CDA-9887 Soundstream PCX 2000D ('08 model) Soundstream PCX 2.250 ('08 model) Soundstream PCX 2.370 ('08 model) 6 Alpine Type R 12's Seas 27TFFNC/G Tweeters Seas P18RXN/P Mids

I would love to use a pair of Kinetik 2400's and I have the cash to do so. The only problem is that I live on an Air Base in Germany and shipping them is not possible since USPS will not shipe over 70 pounds to our APO, then on top of that I'm not sure about shipping batteries with USPS either. My only real battery options here are Optimas. I can get them on base reasonably priced. Do you guys think I can get by with the stock alternator and a good pair of batteries? -------------------- Alpine CDA-9887 Soundstream PCX 2000D ('08 model) Soundstream PCX 2.250 ('08 model) Soundstream PCX 2.370 ('08 model) 6 Alpine Type R 12's Seas 27TFFNC/G Tweeters Seas P18RXN/P Mids

I just called Powermaster and the person that answered the phone asked for the year of my truck and said they don't have anything for me. Whether or not they do is probably still questionable, but with that poor example of customer service...I don't care if they have anything for me...lol. I did just contact Dominic Iraggi and he has a monster alt for me. Now I just gotta decide on batteries. I have about $550 to spend on a pair of good batteries. -------------------- Alpine CDA-9887 Soundstream PCX 2000D ('08 model) Soundstream PCX 2.250 ('08 model) Soundstream PCX 2.370 ('08 model) 6 Alpine Type R 12's Seas 27TFFNC/G Tweeters Seas P18RXN/P Mids
