Topic: Big Systems: Calculating Current Draw
How does one calculate the current draw on the really really large systems? The majority of handheld clamp meters go up to 1000A current, but I keep seeing the current on the input side of some of the amp tests going further and further up. So for large systesm like in SS and Ex, how is current measured, especially as I would expect the power requirements for multiple amp setups would be huge. Cheers in advance --------------------

how many amps do you have? In cooks van we can't clamp all 32 amps, can't even get to some of them...current draw doesn't really mean anything though does it? I mean i guess it would be nice to know but not something that would kill ya =) --------------------

Ya Who needs to know current draw? The meter is what matters. -------------------- Cactus Sounds N. America project db (SM3-4 North American National Champion) For Competitors on Myspace.com http://groups.myspace.com/12voltcompetitors

Its research for future reference I was just curious as to how people measured the electrical side as well as looking at true watts generated. --------------------
