You can NEVER train a 12v battery to stay at 16v , it will explode !

Easy , charge your batt at 14,7v , this is for nsb's and alike , do this all the time , as much as you can .
When you are making changes to your car and box that take a long time , charge it at 14,5v . This helps the gassing in the battery .

When testing , each time you turn off the radio , charge , test , charge . After a while , 1 week , 2 weeks , it will stay higher , but it will always drop lower then 14v , just slowly .
Dont cram the voltage or amps in , charging slow is the best way for your battery , it will last the whole year .
