in my car i definately gained by running more than 16! i draw 1400+ amps plus from my battery and stay over 10 volts and lose if i disconnect any of my 15 runs of +ve and 15 runs of -ve, you need a better battery to see a gain me thinks when i drop the impedence a little more it will probably need more cable 100 amps per 50mm^2 is a good rule of thumb
if your battery is below 10 volts its out of puff basically! ie its giving very little extra power!
my battery for those who care is an AP-SPL100 from ap performance in belgium all 793 square inches of it, it doesn't float above 13.2 and is just charged at 14.4 volts, score is same ten minutes after it comes off charge or an hour the battery is the dogs bollox!
