good idea, I just did a sohc ZC motor in mine and so far so good. I haven't started it up yet b/c of driving issues myself, but hopefully soon will be able to get it running...i hope, but yea good choice for the sohc zc!

If your just gonna run the car in straight races, then go with the B20, but the handling of the 1.8 is going to be much better. A lot of guys who race CRX's use a 1.8 bored out to 1.9 with good results.

The difference in weight would be absolutely miniscule and would have zero affect in handling.

NOS normally adds more torque than horsepower. Check out some dyno's. Last one I saw was a 50 shot on a D16Y7 doing 115 stock and 170 WHP on the juice, but she did 210 Ft. Lbs of TORQUE.
With an auto though I'd think you would have her.

This is car audio db drag racing, not racing. We're simply telling Rusty his GSR should outrun his wife's crx si with nos. No one "called you out", so, don't get all vin diesel on me.
Take your internet 1/4 mile racing elsewhere...
Edit- So, you have a turbo LS in a crx with a 2150-nsb-dd z battery? If so, please show pics, otherwise you're just trying to drag race someone over the internet....

I made small wooden blocks in the back of my rex for quick attatchments and removal of amps. I made my runs roughly 15 feet each. Chad's was a VERY tight 12.5 feet. We got 4 runs out of a 50 foot spool. I really did'nt think it was gonna make it.

Crx's are only 12.375 ft. long how do you get 14-15 feet of wire in there? Anyway the si is that long dunno about the others but I would imagine they are the same or close.

Wow that kinda sucks...because mine was in broken (actually both were) I thought there was an "oem equivelent" rule-but seeing how that can be interperted in diffrent ways I guess it best to have th oem one.
Ebay here I come

VegaS10, dumb question but whats your first name, I should know it I just forgot lol. Also do you happen to have any pics of the wire runs or the block in the back that your talking about, if you'd like to share either here or maybe email them to me? If you don't have any, no big deal, I just dont want lumps in the carpet either, my last crx had that, kinda annoying. Also whats the specs on a b16a? are they pretty fast in a crx? I might be picking up a new crx pretty clean, and it has a b16a in it.

Thanks Alan for the offer, but the main center locking compartment is my problem. I have a few of them (2 or 3 ) and I can't even combine parts to make a whole one lol. I you have a spare one you want to part with let me know.

The batteries in my daughter's digital camera are dead, but, I'll TRY and remember to get some tommorow. I'll post some pics of the block in the back. I'll also peel the carpet up a bit and show ya how I ran some of the runs.
Almost every crx at finals was a dx. A stock DX is about 90 HP with miserable torque. Truly a sluggish car to drive. Add a 100lb battery and 150lbs of stereo equipment and you've got yourself a real embarassment. A si gives you 106 hp...when it was new.
A B16 gives 160 hp, and a litle bit more torque than an si. The real benefit is the dohc vtec, which gives you alot more room to rev higher and alot more fun on the highway. In city driving, it feels a little bit faster than a si, but when ya really wind it out, you can feel the difference.
When buying a swapped crx, there is a ton of **** to look for. I mean, the list is a mile long.
1. Look for any check engine lights. This means something is wrong. Don't settle for excuses. This means there is a problem.
2. Grinding in 3rd or 4th gear. This means the car has had a hard ass life. Someone has driven the **** out of this car and is now selling you a beaten whore. Cable B-series transmissions are damn near impossible to fix and harder to find. Some grinding is acceptable, but, it should be BARELY noticeable.
3. Check the fluids. Oil should be gold, antfreeze should be green. If the oil is milky, the headgasket is gone/going. If there is oil bubbles in the antifreeze, the headgasket is going.
4. No smoke fromt he tailpipe. Drive the **** out the car before you buy it. let it get fully warmed up then get on it. Vtec engages at around 5200 rpm. Look back, if there is a bunch of smoke, the rings or valve seals are gone. Pass on the car.
Black smoke=gas white moke=antifreeze blue smoke=oil
5. Make sure there is no crazy wiring by the ecu. It should look stock. Any bad conections can lead to trouble. Bad solder, crimp, wire nuts should be treated like the plauge.
When putting a battery in a swapped B-series rex, you need to get a clutch cable bracket off an Integra LS. The stock JDM ones are too tall and wont let the clutch cable set right. The LS one lets it lean back and retain proper tension.
Since I took last year off, I really got into driving/modifying the car instead of db drag. I learned a TON of stuff in that year and am now getting back into the db drag stuff.
If you have anymore swap questions, I'll do my best to answer.
