I want to upgrade the wiring when I install my new alt. There is a positive going to the battery that will be replaced with 4ga wire. I am going to replace the factory ground with 4 ga, too.

Do I need to do anything with the wires running to the built in voltage regulator on my alt? Its a pin connector so upgrading the wire size wouldn't be easy.
