i can only play my system for about 15 seconds and the alternator gauge drops from 14 to about 6 volts. i have 2 a2200hcx audiobahn amps pushing 2 kicker l712's in a sealed box in a durango stock 136 amp alternator. where is the cheapest place to buy a alt and how big does it need to be. i have a stock battery also.

The cheapest place would probably be Mr. Alternator. What wattage do your amps make combined? I would say that 200 or 220 amps would be the best amperage to go with in your stock case. If you get a large case GM on there, go with a 260 or so.
