Ok, I will be using 4 Memphis 1500Ds and 2 Memphis 3004 (75X4) in my van.I wanted to use Yellow tops or Workahaulics, but my battery guy dont do Interstate Batteries...His main line is Excide. If I were to use Excide orbitals how many would you recomend.Would 6 or 8 be enough? Or What Excide would be equivalant to the workahaulic? also how much Alternator would be recomended for 8 batts.I have a 160 amp Iraggi from my last vehicle.Would another 160 be enough?

Are these the 950CCA orbitals? If so I would say at least one per amp would get you by without a problem, two per 1500D would be better. I am guestimating the draw of those amps at around 160A-200A??? You should be fine with the single alternator you have unless you plan on daily driving it in which case I would step up to a 300A unit or add a second. Go with an external regulator to get the highest output possible for those amps 14v to 15v can make a huge gain in some cases. If you can find the Interstates somewhere I would try, they will outperform the Exides. Have you tried looking for Crown or Hawker batteries? They are some of the best I have tested. The 31A-100 Specs:1250 CA @ 32 F which is real world, not car audio specs like most the car audio batteries out there...
