You can ground to the chassis. If you ground your 12v seperate from your 16v you can experience ground loops, pops, flutter, etc. It's ok to have your 12v ground and 16v ground attached at the same point. I always chassis ground my battery bank regardless.

You can ground to the chassis. If you ground your 12v seperate from your 16v you can experience ground loops, pops, flutter, etc. It's ok to have your 12v ground and 16v ground attached at the same point. I always chassis ground my battery bank regardless.
