blue, red, yellow top and marine deep cycle what is the diffrence? i would just like to know what the best application would be for each battery and what makes one better for one system then the other. reason i'm asking is i'm about to get my 18"XXX and i have two diamond audio 600.1's that i'll be running and i know i need another battery and a bigger alt.
which leads me to my next i'm not sure what size the stock alt is but it can't be over 120 it is a 92 blazer 4.3L has power windows and locks i'm looking for a good place to get atleast a 200amp alt but i want a direct bolt on no mods any help would be great and if you need more info just ask.

thank you
Conner

blue = is for marine apps, useful but woouldnt recommend.

Yellow = deep cylce ,more people use it becasue it will take a qucik charge(30-60 min)to gain full charcge .

Red = just a reg battery really, its made a little better but i wouldnt use it for SPL,all its made for is if you have a 502 supercharged =),you know like that kinda power,to turn that huge hooch over

And don't believe that you can quick charge a Yellow Top after killing it and not expecting it to damage teh battery.

Okay, D31 or D34M?? I've always been under the impression of the D34 > D31.

But, doesnt the 31 ah: 75 > 34 ah:55??

Thanks

Nick

Blues are identical electrically to Yellows.

Only the casing and terminal materials differ.

i just got a red top, CA is 900 and CCA is 800 RC is 104. i never have a problem starting my truck. plus it doesnt take long to charge, if i have my a/c on and im at a light the voltage drops to about 12v until i start moving, its been doing this ever since i got the truck, but after driving for like 20 minutes its back up to 13.?v so for regular day to day driving with one D3 400.2 running my 6000cs components its pretty good, the lights are bright, and my truck starts every time i wake up in the morning.

i just thought i would give you an idea of the red top, ide probably buy a yellow to put in the back for the amp. later.
