No one, eh?

It's the "pinnacle" of the "sport".

If I showed up to Game 7 of the World Series and was found to have a Corked Bat in pre game warm-ups, what would happen to me? Even if I said that I 'didnt see it in the rulebook, my bad'.

I'd say their problem is their top 3 batteries, including their Group 31, are too big for dB Drag street battery limitations.

8D- 2311.32 cu. in.
4D- 1854.927 cu. in.
31- 803.799 cu. in.

I personally don't trust ANYONE'S specifications(CCA, reserve, cycle life, etc). They can manipulate the data to benefit them. THe proof is in testing. I'd be willing to test one out, but their group 31 is too big.

This is the reason?

So, the whole time only 1 person on here, as far as i know, who has tried them\owns them, nobody else has because of Street Class rules?
All i gotta say is AHHH! Where are all the modified class people?
Not to say this is fact but maybe it's bigger because it's better? However, just like someone stated earlier, tests will show proof, not specs.

Speaking of this Experimentation... Anyone ever test a battery period and got specs handy? If so, let's start that VS the spec sheet then that of another manufacturer and see if the specs are like rating an amp without a CEA-2006 sticker!!

This goin back and forth has wasted almost the entire thread with probably 2 good replies. Everything else is "if" and "maybe" and "only for me" type scenarios. That won't help anybody.

The Hawker (previously known as Black Panther and now Odessey) is a pile. I've owned several of them, and every single one has failed. The shop that sold me the Odessey took it back on warranty and "upgraded" me to a 3478 yellowtop (in his own words).

I think it boils down to experience. I've NEVER had anything but great luck with Optima!

maybe the people who are posting here who are telling their experience with such and such battery may need to realize that there are 2 different applications for batteries in this topic.

Short burps and long use for daily.

One battery is better than another when compared to these 2 scenarios.

It would be best to tell is used for one of these applications so others can understand how they are being used.

You must have not had enough alternator to keep your battery charged. a hawker 1000 or 1700 is a much better battery than a group 34 yellow top.
