I would take the Optima followed by the Stinger and the SVR a close 3rd. You guys must get a commission for pimping those Kinetik batteries.

I have one hawker 1700 running my truck, with 2 13w7s and an eclipse DA7232 (2000w rms) and no caps. I can hardly get my headlights to dim. I really really like that battery. Too many optimas dead over the years to trust them anymore. Kinetiks cost like, twice as much, and I'm still waiting to hear why they would be better.

I know that someone called kinetik up with some intrest.
I went down to thier shop in toledo. great guys, they were happy to answer all my questions and show me what the batteries can do.

Why is it that out of all the guys here including me do not run LifeLine Batteries except for Jarfunkz?
He is the only one who does. Why do I mention Lifeline? Because out of all the batteries I have seen listed on mnaufacturer's websites, Lifeline is the only manufacturer with the largest aH rating out of anything else i have seen, including H.O.'s biggest battery.
I have been told that optima's have the lowest internal resistance out of a lot other batteries that were tested but cannot remember any others that were compared. I have talked to Batteries Plus and they told me to go with an Odyssey 1700 over a Group8D Lifeline. When i asked why, the guy never gave an experienced or written reason why. Basically he just said, i run Odyssey 1700s and have never tried Lifeline because nobody else used them and i dont have that much money. That's basically what he was implying to me.
So, on to the main point again, why isn't Lifeline a choice, even for the most demanding power draws?

Probably cuz people have tested the lifeline batt and it didn't work out well.

Not that there is a commission involved, because there isnt, but don't you expect the Team RF guys to push Rockford products??? If Team RF guys don't push the product....then you have to ask yourself are they using it just because they got it free or for cheap? And if so, is that someone you want to cut a deal to?
We just seem to have found a product we believe in and are in turn helping out the people that help us!
disclaimer....not attacking you personally Tim, but that's just a point I wanted to make. Several of the Kinetik users are getting bashed for talking up the product so much on here and various other forums....doesn't make sense...whether a person gets discounted product or product support....it's a you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours thing...but you already know that I'll stop blabbering.

It's not bashing I just find it comical, there have been no posts with actual test data versus any other battery to support usage. I think that is why people are taking heat on various forums.
So for you Kinetik guys, start posting some one on one test results to back the hype. I would love to read some results as I have tested just about every variety of "popular" battery and several others that I doubt many have heard of. One of which I would use over any other listed for street. By the way, RF does market a battery but I don't use it, I paid good money for what in my opinion are the best batteries available for my application.

If you are trying to imply that I called them your as wrong as it gets. I emailed them for specs on their 17v set-up. Never did get a reply.

Like i said before. no one battery is the best over all. in my opinion. different batteries work good in different set ups. I just happened that during my testing I found that the kinetik worked best for me. everyones results may vary. i am just saying that this battery can work for someone else.

This is turning into a good conversation. I would say that there is such a thing as the best battery at least it's less subjective then other areas of the system. Power delivery to amplifiers from the battery may have something to do with differing results. I have tested a G31 and a 1700 in three cars and in two the G31 was louder and in the third the 1700 was louder. We are talking .3 or less in all cases but the only determining factor was the number of power cables and length of those cables. I have also found that some batteries react better when fed closer to 15v at all times, so an upgraded alt may be an option for some. Thoughts?

Give me about 10 days and you will have the head to head test results that you seek. All brand new batteries too.
