Deka is owned by Eastern Penn, and they make their own batteries...right?

yes they do make their own batteries as far as I know. They make a bunch of smaller named batts. Hence my ref. to wonch. I have always ran wonch as a starting battery. I guess I will just have ot try one out.

So any input as to how these batts do, and are they similar to svr in more respects that case? I can get them at cost so if anyone used them before and thinks they are on par with optima, stinger, etc it would be good news for me.

to resurect the dead, I have been using the intimadators since the release, and a battery retailing around $100 is going to be hard to beat.
Furter they build these batteries at east penn and other companies market them with their name on it, such as the new tsunami batteries.
out of 43 batteries, I had one that was bad, we killed it beyond any hope, We had it in a vehicle with the doors open for a week (89 caprice) thyat doesn't have a battery drain feature, so it died. It was replaced by our rep no problems or questions either. three year warranty, and first year replacement. They also make wire, 4/0 gauge for those with some spl systems.
i have played with everybattery on the planet, the Optima was the breaking point for me, I don't know if interstate screwed them up, or optima did it to themselves, however when 4 of 5 yellow tops were not working properly and they wanted to play me on the warranty, they can screw off. I give my seal of approval on the DEKA batteries, which I know carries no weight, but for those interested in how they measure up. they do great

Well I'll probably be getting my hands on a couple of these to see how they do first hand. Also thanks for the reply JBONDox, are you still dealing PG?

Thanks, I think I may be able to get them even cheaper than a 100.00 now so I'm pretty sure I will be going with them. Just need to sell off some stuff to pay for my electrical upgrades.

you'd crap to see what I pay for them, I just keep my mouth closed about it, but shhh! I haven't comapred many of the new batteries out there so there might be something out there, that is, however I really doubt it.
Yep no more PG, If they made the product like the older stuff, in a heart beat, I just can't get on board with their program, cheap import crap. anyways, I have moved on, been doing quart and rockford for amps as of lately...

Jim if shipping wouldn't kill me, I'd get a Deka from you...but I can only imagine shipping a 40 pound battery down to NC wouldn't be cheap.

JBONDox hit me up with a pm about batt prices please, shipping to mich wouldn't be to bad and I could have them shipped to a business addy to save on shipping.
I agree with you on PG doing some stupid things, my ms1000 is better than the amps they make now Although they do have a intresting new assembly for the Elite 12 thats supposed to get louder than the mo bass, but again their stuff is being marketed to import and lower quality concern crowd.

reaper, PG screwed up in my opinion , but oh well, that is them. as for the deka batteries there is a rep in your area call west penn and find out. actually i will call them tomorrow give me your zip code
agreeded pg has taken there customer base and threw most of it away. I have been checking out their forum and there seems to be some people who work for them saying the same thing. I hope they pull it out or there going to lose even more of their buyers.
By the way thanks man:)
