I have a 94 explorer and high end factory system. today i was trying to find what wires that come from the head unit go to which speaker. I have figured this out for the most part, but here is my ? The wires with a stripe are they supposed to be negative EX. i have a purple and a white/black wire for one speaker. The wh/bl would be negative right. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have the JBL system, all of those wires go to the amps behind the side panel behind the passenger back door. This is the best place to tie into the factory wires.

A lot of test cds have a polarity tester track on them... but you will probably have to have all the speaker cones visible to observe the direction of movement.

You have to be able to see all the cones, but just grab a batter and put both wires on an end and if it pops out than it is phase. Just make sure you pop the side of the wire going to the speaker not the amp.
