What are the differnt guages of speaker wire?
I was told 12 guage would be fine for my two twelves and usa300x. Is 12 guage ok for speaker wire? I am running 2guage power and ground wires.

12 gauge should be good for your setup. diff gauges are 16,12,10,8.

I agree. 12 guage should be fine. Could always go bigger but might not be worth the cost...I dont know what kinda gains you would see....unless you have a run of wire that went on and on..ya know?

the bigger the wire the smaller the gauge. and the smaller the gauge the less line loss you will have. and line loss is directly proportional to the amount voltage being slammed through it. if your a hard core competetor i reccommend goin big. but for most typical stuff 12ga works fine

hope it helped
