Ok, I assume my stock electrical system is running at 14.4 volts (how can I check this?). Can I upgrade my electrical system to run @ 17 volts? What do I need to replace? Wiring, Alt and Battery?

Thanks

[Edit] Also, I'm looking at an Alpine head unit that gives 17wRMS via a V-Drive Amp. Would the head unit give any more power out with the upgrading of my electrical system?

I guess you could. You need a diffrent alt and you need the 16 volt Batts, or the 8 volt combo deal. dont know about the H/U question.

Is it worth it to run at 17 volts? Would it harm anything?

If its a Daily Driver then yea. Every thing is ment to run in your car around 11-14 volts. you chnage it your puting alot of strees on your car. Now that I think about the H/U question if you get one that can take 17 volts then you should be fine. Team RF uses 16.4 volts I think most of the time and there HU is just fine. But they have nothing else in the car and you cant "drive" it. I would spend the money on get a amp that can put more out at the 14 volts rather then spend even more to get you up to a 17 volt system.
