I was wondering what I could do to get my voltage up and stay up for a decent amount of time. I know in my Honda Civic there is that tiny battery, don't really know if that means it has less power though.
I know that optima has a new yellow top that will fit in the factory location. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to use that deep cycle battery as the only battery in my car along with a stock alternator.
Just in case you didn't know the problems with Street A is that you can't have your car running (no use for HO alternator), only 1 battery in stock location, and 1 farad to use. It will be kind of hard running 4000+ watts, probably will only be burpin' using full power.
HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get the stinger 1700. And make a custom cradle for the battery because I know it wont fit in that civic. It says Stock location I believe so you can make your own fiber glass holder for the batt and still get a way with something that’s = to 3 yellow tops. And run some BIG power wire for that, along with no cap. They only help for the first 1/10 of a second or so, with that much power. You will still want a H/O alt because you got a battery that’s Drained if you want it to be charged for your next run with out having to have it run for a half hour. Get the H/O alt I think the civics are only a 50 amp alt get something that will at least do more then 100 amps because you will burn that alt out.

That may be considered a mod. I know as long as it fits in the factory location its ok, so maybe as long its sitting where its supposed to be, it could hang over a little.

I was told by a VERY reliable source that one cannot "cut" the battery tray. My Focus has a battery holder with four walls, so I'm stuck with the Odyssey 1200 because the 1700 won't fit.

I found out today that I couldn't do too many mods anyway because there is something on all sides of the battery. I will probably end up getting the stinger 1200 because it will fit in the factory location.
Thanks anyway guys.....

I've had a Civic and have a 2000 GSR. Try SVR 50-12. They fit right in the stock try. If you're drawing a lot of juice get a high out put Alt. I got my Alt. from alterstart 150amp for $229. They have 135amp for $179 all direct replace no mods. Ebay-alternator-make and model. I forgot where I got my SVR batt but I think paid less than $80 delivered. SVR been making these batts for years now. If you're interested I'll look up where I got them.
