Is there any degredation in performance using 1 place to ground 2 things?

Namely my negative batt terminal, and engine ground. I have their ring terminals grounded at 1 point in the chassis. Would I be better off to do that at different places?

It should not matter. Just make sure that when you hook it up you dont create a ground loop. That will take power away from you, Make more noice then you want, and is point less. Remember Current always flows the path of lease resistance.

i'd say its ok...but are you running like a 200+amp alternator? A ground point as big as
o <---that for that much current is bad [Smile]

Clean, and large contact surface! Dont worry about noises, just make sure you have enough contact area.
