Lets say that I want to replace the battery under my hood with a yellow-top optima. I have a 1990 acura integra and it doesnt seem to have enough room for the battery under there. Any ideas of what to do? Wouldn't wiring the battery in the trunk create resistence or something and make it lose power? Is it feasible to mount a battery in the trunk (if you're only using one single battery)?? Any other options? Thanks
If I use a battery isolator and two different size batteries, that wont be good would it?? So I just want to put my one and only battery in the trunk, I'm not really getting the answers I need though. Will any length resistance or whatever be bad? Will it cut down substantially on the current to the starter etc?

I would imagine that the resistance of the wire plus the internal resistance of a yellowtop would still be less than the internal resistance of your factory battery (just a guess). Besides, people relocate muscle car batteries to the trunk all the time to get more weight on the right rear tire. You should be fine. Just make sure you fuse properly (one in front, one in back).
