I'm ready to run my main power wire back from under the hood. I have one optima battery and a 200 amp Alt. under the hood, and want to run the wire (About 15' long) to my "battery bank" where I have 3 "bat caps". Then run the wire another 5' to the amps.

The 3 amps I think can draw up to about 500 amps peak...(2 Orion 2400d's and a Zapco Z600.)
so what gauge wire should I run for power and ground?

Also, what size fuse holder or breaker do I need under the hood?

Thanks.

I would use 1/0 for both. I'm not sure of the fuse but you may need more then just one with all those amps. [Cool]

I suggest a circuit breaker instead of a fuse. I think you could get a way with 2gauge.
