Look at who my post is directed to, you'll notice it says "H.O ALTERNATORS: Please be advised of the following" - and you may also notice I edited his post. I'm guessing you couldnt figure out that H.O Alternators was the one advertising?

Good detective work, ace.

I guess HO Alternators can do them.

Dom can do them.

Alterstart has 150A ones.

Those I know are factory case, direct bolt on models.

Most people that I've talked to have told me that 150-160 range is about the limit you'd want to take a factory Honda case alternator. Of course if you went external regulator and rectifier you might could get more reliable power.

Just what I've been told in my quest for a HO alt for my 93 Accord.

Anyone know where I could buy a custom bracket for a bigger case alt to fit in a 2001 integra? I need to get about 240 amps out of an alternator for my system....
There is only one shop in my town that could do it and they want $700 for a 240 amp alternator and custom bracket. [Eek!]
Thanks

190 is about the highest you can go in the factory case on that one. Any higher and your idle output goes down the toilet. [Smile]

As far as a higher amperage on a 2001 Integra, where is your alt mounted? Is it down low on the pass side or just under the power steering pump?

I have seen... [Razz] Large case alts mounted down low on the pass side but some models may not have the room.

Power Master and Ohio Generator has some Honda and other import alts, you may want to check with them too.
