I WANT TO PUT 4 BATTERIES TO MY CAR AND I WAS THINKING TO PUT 4 EXIDE BATTERIES XCD ORBITAL THIS BATTERIE IS DEEP CYCLE TOO LIKE YELLOW TOP FROM OPTIMA WHAT DID YOU RECOMEND ME

I used both, you would be fine with either, but I would choose neither. Look at the Stinger Batteries, for every three optima's you put in, it equals a sp1700, so go figure. It is actually cheaper to run the sp1700.

I don't agree with that statement only because of the specs that I have on the batteries. They are as follows. SP1700 - CCA 875A, CA 1175A, and RC 142min Optima D31A - CCA 900, CA 1125, and RC is 155min
The Optima is a little taller than the Odessy bat.

All I have to say is put the Stinger sp1700 on the batt meter, and the optima on the reader, and then you will see. The meter is used at most autoparts stores, give you the actual cca, ca, etc about your batteries.

I run the black top exide and it is not an acid bat. It also puts out some great power. Never had a voltage drop with two black tops and over 2000wrms.

I would like to know where you got your specs, would be interesting to see, because they are not the specs listed in the brochure, the website, etc. so thanks for the info.
And to futher by response, brought the sp1700 into autozone to have them check it out, and when they put in 1999 cca for the battery test, it came back that it would put out at least 1999 CCA, so thanks again, and in the future, please blow smoke up your own a$$, as others do not what unproven responses to their posts.

I got the info off the Car domain web site that had if for sell. I did not compare the data to see if it was right on both. But sorry if its not correct I just copied and pasted. I just went on to web sites that had reviews and posted them after looking at them. That way people had something to compare. As for "blow smoke up your own a$$" I did not even say any thing bias, harsh, or degrading about any batteries, people, or company. I gave links for people to learn more. Your post could have just said, “well just tested my SP1700 and it will crank out more then rated. Mine did 1999 CCA.”
Sorry if posting links Offends you!

Was in a bad mood, sorry to take it out on you, did not mean any harm to you. You do seem to know what you are talking about.
And the specs are wrong on the car domain website.

The specs he listed are correct... the battery he linked to is the group 31, not the group 34... the sp 1700 is a group 31 as well so it is only fair to compare like size batteries... When Dominick and I tested these two batteries they both performed about the same... like I said before, I would go with the optima:)
