Hey I'm new here, I need a high amp alt for my 95 caprice. It has a 140 stock, but I guess I need a 200 amp. I've read a few posts on here and checked some of the companies that people are using but they are all $500+. I've read good things about Iraggi alts and that their prices are good also, but I cant find any info on them. Is there a website or email for them? Thanks

I just installed my Iraggi alternator into my toyota tacoma, and it fits PERFECT. The only issues I had were with the wiring, and the pulley....but overall it was worth every cent. Plus it was less than $400 shipped to Houston. A+ in my book Posts: 101 | From: Houston, TX | Registered: Feb 2003

Thanks for that info, I emailed him two days ago and haven't got a response yet. Anyways, should I spend the money to upgrade my alt now? Lemme give you a quick rundown of my car, and let me know what you guys think.
Its a 95 Caprice LT1 so it has a 140 amp stock. I took out the inner fenders so it could lay out with the bags, so I had to relocate the main battery to the trunk, running through 1/0g wire. I have a yellow top now in the trunk. But when I run my compressors for the airbags, my lights dim and voltage drops. I know they pull about 35 amps. I'm about to install a lightning audio 75x4 for my mids/highs, then I'm gonna go with one or two mono class d amps. This is my daily driver so it HAS to be reliable. So do you guys think I should go ahead and upgrade now or is it not needed? Thanks, Rob.

if your lights are dimming and voltage drops by just running the compressors then with the amps in it will get worse. if you can then upgrade the alt now before throwing the amps in.

A new h.o. alt is the best upgrade you can make. It'll do wonders.

Thanks guys, I got in touch with Dominick and got some great prices. I'm gonna run 1/0g from the alt to where the 1/0g wire runs to the back this weekend and see if that makes a difference. It has the factory wire there now, which is tiny. Hopefully that will help me out enough to get me by until I get the sub amps.

I was told that you couldn't go higher than 4 guage on the alt to batt wire. upgradin that one (alt-batt) to 4 guage really helped out.
