I was thinking about "strapping" two RF bd1500 amps together and run a 4.8ohm load to them (QVC 15" XXX). I found a link to the way I was going to hook it up:

Dual RF , see page 10.

If you look at the top of the page RF says the current draw for music would be 180 amps, and recommends a 200 amp alternator. Do you really think it will draw THAT much current? If so, i would be better off buying a different amp (Eclipse 7232). So, would it really draw that much current, or would it be OK with a stock alt. (100A) and an upgraded battery (stinger, optima, etc.) for daily driving? I also have a 3 farad stinger cap.

Thanks!!

get rid of the caps, and get yourself a spare lifeline battery. i run alot more power than that and all i still have the stock alt in, with 2 lifelines(8kw) (i now have 3 lifeline batts in and i am going to double my power). optima is ok at best, really they are an under achieving battery, stinger is good, a little better than optima maybe, but none compare to
concorde/ lifeline batterys.

Is this your opinion or you have actual facts to back it up?
