with my stock alternator (90 amps) my lights dim like crazy with my current system(in my sig) and i will soon be upgrading my amps and will probably have a total draw of about 280-310 amps of current. I have the opportunity to buy a 160amp alternator from starcharge (will fit my car with no modifications), but 160 amp is the biggest i can get for my car from them. Will this be enough(keep in mind i also have a yellowtop)or will i just have to get another yellowtop also?
