I currently have a yellow top optima. I loaded all my audio stuff in my trunk the other day to take it to get it all installed and I noticed my car was much heavier and I had to push the gas much harder to get going. The battery is definately the biggest weight and i'd like to switch to a cap. I can eliminate about 40lbs by using a cap over the batt.
What i'm going to be using is in my sig, so based on that would a cap be enough for that setup? I am looking at the alumapro 15 farad cap. What would be the best cap to go with for my system? I am going to compete in street x.

don't hold it to me but i would stick with the battery. from what i understand from a couple of guys they arn't the best, but i do know that the alumapro caps and the pg powercores are favorable. i would say if you need to save weight get the alumapro.
Also, a big thing is i'm doing the same thing you are and competing in sq, what sanction will you be running this year?
