Ok, I have a question, does it really matter what brand RCA'S/WIRE you use/buy, I mean, is it really neccesary to pay $65 for RCA patch cord's?????????????? Sounds like alot a crap to me. I mean how many more features could it have then the $25 pair?????? I know amybe some noise rejection/heat protection features, but other than that, how much could it REALLY matter. and wire. is it really neccesary to run 2AWG $6 a foot wire to your 500 watt amplifier??????? I know it may increase a little current flow, but is it really worth the extra $5 a foot???? Maybe I am wrong, correct me if i am, but all that stuff sounds a little outrageous to me, plus, WHERE DO THESE COMPANIES GET OFF CHARGING $6 A FOOT FOR STRANDS OR COPPER AND PLASTIC???????????? I DON'T GET IT. Well, I am tired, it's about 12:00 here, so I am kinda tired (i get up at 5:30), maybe this whole post was kinda dumb, (probably), but i need some help on this, PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!!!!!! Thanx, Matthew

2ga for a 500watts amp??? whoa there id say about 8ga would be plenty for that....im usin 4ga on my memphis 1100d....and i dont think rcas matter that much..i meen if you have the money why not get an expensive pair...i got me like a 35 dollar pair of those rockford purple twisted pair rcas and dont see much of a differance from the cheap little 5 dollar ones.....and if the expensive rcas were better how come they use the cheap stuff on the demos!!

i don't know if i ever noticed a difference in the performance of dfferent cables but i know this, when i sold off my last system i had some very nice pg cables, my brother has them now (they are over years old) and look and sound very good still, in my car i used the cheapest things the shop had (since my overall system desgin was not finalised and i was broke) since then i had to replace three of those cable sure they are only like 5-10$ but i have only had them in for 5 months and replaced three!

finally, someone agrees w/me. Ok, maybe not 2Awg to a 500W amp, but you get my point. But you have to agree w/ me on this, since when should it cost 5$ a foot for strands of copper and a plastic jacket????????????????????????????????? Thats ridiculous. And you're right, i have seen many many demo cars, and they jsut use some cheap 5$ rca's so whats the huge difference between the 5$ pair and hte 65$ pair? right, almost none. Thanxe for the reply, keep em coming, Matthew

People pay for pretty. Why do you think a rolls royce costs $1,000,000? Those things are a piece of ****, they are the most unreliable car, inefficient and they are damed ugly. For that much U can get an F1 McLaren but name is everything right? I can personally hear a difference between the **** wires and the really good ones in Home use ... that's because home **** runs at 2V. My car runs at 13.5V (RCA) so wires mean nothing.
I would spend a few bucks to buy/build wires that look cool, but power wire is where I draw the line. I can get 0 gauge welding cable for $2/foot (canadian). I can't get much because I get it thru work but I think people charge something like $15 canadian for that **** if the sheath is ****tier and clear. Bah

You're paying for the looks and the brand name. For power cable, use wendling cable for equal performance at less than half the cost. For RCAs, it doesn't matter what you use as long as it's twisted pair. Build your own if you can, then they're dirt cheap.
