I know this has been beat to death, and I also realize I'm probabbly asking for trouble, but here we go anyhow :P . I've just about finished my SPL system, when I got to thinking, 1200 watts just isn't enought. SO I decieded I want to get another Cadnece A7HC. Sooo...That means this : 1. Two cadence A7HC's, each drawing at full tilt (or so says cadence) 85 amps, for a total system or draw of 170+ amps.
2. Upgrage to Zero Gauge wire.
3. Upgrade Batery and possibly alternator
4. Add 2nd Battery...But heres the problem...there's really no way in hell I could fit a battery in my trunk. The way it is now, my amp (and 2nd) go in the dead space behind the tire's. So fitting a battery in there and giving it proper ventalion is definitly not much of an option. Unless anybody knows of a really small 12v (14v) battery....
Soooo, I got to thinking, what if i just used one of those big arse 15 farad deal's as a power source for the amps (bad wording, but you know what I mean ). I realize that caps aren't a "power source" and that it's often said that no caps is the only way to go for all out SPL, But what about in my case? I mean, 15 farads is ALOT to add to two amps that together only draw 170 amps. So, I guess what I'm asking is : Will the cap actually hurt? Or will it help in short burps (if not help, will it at least stabalize...?)? All in all, if you have any other options, they will much appreciated! As always, Thanks!

Optima batterie's don't need to be vented (unless is anal IASCA). They're a completely sealded system.

Well if you are still tight for space SVR makes a real long but slim battery just for your case, you might look into that, they are cheaper too
