Ok, this question might be a little early for me to ask but it cant hurt to find out.
My next setup will have the following brands, products, items (stuff hehe).
Eclipse 5504 CD Diamond Audio MotorSport 2way comps MB Quart 5.25" Musicomp comps All Phoenix Gold wires and LineDriver, in line fuse, and distribution blocks for ground and power This is stuff i have already.
Heres what i am thinking of getting:
Orion HCCA 225r for the mids 2 Orion HCCA 250rs and 2 Automic Shocker2 12's
Will i need a bigger alternator and better batteries for this type of system? All responses are welcome. Thanks.

its really hard to tell. add up the fuse ratings on those amps and see what they will draw. from what jbl and infinity have told me about their amps, they will actually draw around half that, maybe a little less at a normal listening level, so i am assuming that is fairly safe to assume for most amps. so half that sum and see if it exceeds what your alt can put out, but remember, your car needs power too, so dont think that the alt is just having to charge your system. that will give you a general idea, but i wouldnt go out and buy an alt until everything is installed, then if you have trouble, try a cap, if that doesnt help, then add another alt.
about the batteries, unless your planning on playing your system for long periods of time with the engine off, the batteries wont do anything but put a bigger load on your alt.

I'll take that into consideration. im gonna run 2 Orion HCCA 250r for my subs. Those amps have 2 40 Amp fuses, so im lookin at 160 total amp current with both amps. This system will be used for everyday use as well as competition. I also know that the truck im getting will have a 140 Amp stock alternator, so i might not need a bigger alt. I'll see what anyone else has to say. Thanks for the info.
