Ok, I am going to be purchasing a Yellow Top Optima Battery to fit underneath my hood. I was just wondering if it will fit under the hood of my 2000 Cavlaier, without any special battery terminals or anything of that type. Another question is, will it even fit underneath the hood of my car? Thank you in advance!

i have never looked under the hood of a cavalier, but im sure you can figure something out for it. you can mount those batteries any way you want....upside down, on their side, whatever, at least i think you can, im pretty sure i read that somewhere, to make them fit. im sure you can find somewhere to put it, although you may have to make a tray for it... shouldnt be too much trouble though.

Im sure it will go right in .. The dimensions are lenth 10" x width 6"-7/8 x high 7"-13/16. Thought i might have this problem too but they are actually a little smaller than the average battery .

I think you may have a few problems, your cavalier I believe has a group 75 which is a little smaller than an optima (group 34/78) where you will find the biggest problem is in the height you may have to saw the top posts off, I assume you bought a dual terminal right? Otherwise if you can't fit it put it in the trunk near the amps, this is where it will do the most good anyway. Then you can buy the right size optima for you car, they are made for interstate, excide, and champion (Vortex)by optima.
